I rented 2 different vehicles within a week from Dollar at Daytona Beach. The first time, I waited for an hour to pickup my vehicle. The CSR was friendly and helpful. When I dropped off my vehicle, the IN milage was not accurately recorded by the CSR. The second time I picked up, I waited over 2 hours; the rental in/out time was not updated; the fuel qty was incorrect, the manager the helped was dismissive of my concerns and the other customers concerns (when we mentioned the wait, she said she has been there for 4 hours herself in a very mocking way. I contacted dollar via phone about the fuel issue. When I returned the vehicle, I notated the fuel issue but I was still charged for the fuel usage and the IN fuel qty was incorrectly recorded. This place sucks. I will literally never ever use dollar again.

Your computer systems don’t line up and because of that we had the old bait and switch pulled on us with a $60 up charge for the only car available. If kayak doesn’t have access to the rental car’s inventory then the two businesses shouldn’t be working together.

Part of our trip was cancelled due to Covid. Priceline was absolutely no help in being able to change our rental arrangement. Fortunately, we went to Dollar for all changes, something Priceline did not offer as a suggestion. In the future, better to reserve directly through the rental company, not through third party. Be cautious.
