They called right before they closed the evening before I was picking up the vehicle to say they didn’t have the vehicle I had reserved (a minivan). It took an hour to talk to an actual human who said no minivans were available in the entire area and that she was very sorry. Thank you, Enterprise, for helping me out of a real problem. I will never rent from Hertz again

Wilmington didn't have our van, we had to be sent to another town to pick up what we had rented. When we got there, the van was not clean and was completely empty of fuel. The drop-off was supposed to be at Orlando airport, but they had changed the location without telling us other than in small print on the last page of the printout they gave us.

You get what you paid for-- NOTHING. Supposedly the military was in town and rented ALL the cars including the 1 I reserved and PAID for in advance! This is 2and time I'm left empty-handed with Hertz. They really do suck. First time, their PCs were down ALL weekend starting Friday and probably Monday of the following week too! Again NO CAR for me. And again, PAID in advance! NEVER AGAIN. I DONT CARE IF THE CAR IS FREE because very likely you AINT gonna get a car!!

I attempted to call to confirm my reservation the day before, but I was told that speaking to an agent on the phone would increase the cost of my rental. The pickup location on my reservation was flat-out wrong. I arrived at the location and was told they no longer rented cars, and I would need to go to a different location 2 miles away. When I finally picked up the car, there was a fee to add another authorized driver to the rental. Also, the fuel tank was not full, but the refueling options were not explained to me. I felt I had to return the vehicle with a full tank, which was not fair as I essentially paid for more fuel than I used.
