I feel like the service is very suspect. I purchased online for a intermediate car which is corolla or similar. When I arrived they said I would be given a Nissan versa, which is a compact. They offered an upgrade for $10 and when I asked if it was 10aday or 10 total they directed me to the itemized screen which wasn't very clear on the point of sale card signer. When I returned home to confirm the intermediate reservation, the representative at the San Diego Airport said they were not associated to the website and a franchise/proprietary and their cars dont match that of the website. I feel that while it's not much, I paid thirty extra dollars for a car I originally should have had.

Waited for nearly 2 hours to pickup car as 1 person checked in /out a long line of reservations attempting to up-sale everyone and telling them their insurance was not valid that they purchased via online 3rd party. Proceeded to recharge everyone for insurance and call a number to refund them via their booking partner. The car was dirty, smelled like cigarettes and cheap perfume. I would never use Payless again.

I couldn’t get ahold of anybody from this company to try and extend my rental. I ended up cancelling and renting with Hertz who I will rent from a million times again. Easy to contact and made the process easy overall.
