Car Hire at Seattle/Tacoma Intl Airport

There were no cars available despite my confirmed booking.

We had a great experience however when returning the car I wish the check in attendant ask me for the key fob - had to rerun it after airport security. Just a stressful! And of course I am to blame to!

Clean car. Employees were helpful

Overall good, a bit time consuming at check-in to find information but again overall good

The agent who checked us in with return in garage was very kind to help two elderly ladies (one in wheelchair) struggle with luggage and getting us to where we need to go.

Picking up was a long and tenuous process. Huge lineup and only 3 agents working, easily the slowest of all rental companies in the building. The agent was clearly frustrated and tired and was not friendly at all. When we arrived at the car the exterior was dirty and there there was a rock chip in the window that was not noted, trying to find someone to report it to was not easy either. When we dropped the vehicle off at the LAX the few people we tried to ask questions of were rude and lacked answers. Finally found our own way. I chose Budget not for the price but because I had had good experience in the past, next time I will go with someone else.

The line to check in was 2.5 hours long and then they had NO cars.

Specifically paid to rent a full size suv and the counter lady would only give me an electric smart car. As we walked past numerous SUVs parked next to the smart car we had to plead with the attendant in the garage who stated they had plenty of SUVs to get us what we had already reserved

The employees were friendly and even went out of their way to help me but it feels like there are some structural faults within the company with respect to training and equipping the employees for success. Despite prepaying my rental (~$300) I was hit with a hold on my credit card for an additional $800 that was not explained to me. Furthermore I did not receive a single receipt throughout the process. In my opinion, what is pre-paid and what additional charges might come up should be explained clearly by either Kayak or Fox.

Avoid Fox. Bad car choices, they gave a dirty hatchbackfor a mid-size SUV booking.

Nothing good

While the staff was friendly and efficient, I felt that there was inadequate staff at the pickup location to handle the volume resulting in a lengthy wait.

The car was covered with scratches but otherwise in good condition.

Loved the speed of the rental process. Speed at the reservation desk was quite good - maybe 3-4 minutes. Got off the elevator, spoke to a rep and were driving out in less than 5 after that. Fastest rental experience I've had. Even got to pick our vehicle, and picked the newest one with all the features...which my kids LOVED!

Pick up and drop off service was super efficient and easy. Very impressed. Car was clean as new and very comfortable. But the price felt way too high.

Rates were too high for a one day rental- the return was a pain and the Avis app did not help. I had to call and basically had to figure out on my own where the return location was located. Then was asked- did you take a picture of mileage and fuel tank level.

I wait 30 minutes in line to get to the Avis counter to pick up my rental; that I had booked online and performed my pre-pickup registration to allegedly make the process easier. Then it is 10 minutes at the counter. My card is in the machine and the worker is down the way calling the garage for my car. Then she returns (after another 5 minutes) with the manager to tell me there are no cars for my destsination, and that allegedly, there haven't been any for 24 hours. And that the online system should not have allowed me to make a reservation. Maybe true, maybe not. Because while I was waiting on the salesperson to call the garage the salesperson to my left is selling a rental (one-way to the same location that I'm headed) but at 1.5x the price that I booked online. So, you tell me. I don't know if they guys next to me got a car or not because I was rushing to the next car rental locations but since it was 1 AM, they were all shutdown. Avis wasted my time, screwed up my plans, and made it almost impossible to find an alternate plan, resulting in me having to get a hotel room.
