The pick up attendant was the best part of the rental experience. She was quick and friendly and overall helpful. Sadly it went downhill after. The car was filthy and had obviously not been cleaned after the last person. There were glass water bottles rolling around the back seat, trash in the trunk and crumbs and stuff all over the rest of the car. The service light was on and the brakes made a loud noise for the 2 days I had it.

Were it not for her kindness, support, amazing customer service, I would not opt to return; as the result of her amazing 'care' I will be back. Give that woman a raise... truly a gem! Kayak !!! Update your system !!! I booked a car through kayak , I went to hertz and they did not have the vehicle I picked. Unacceptable!!! Never again through kayak !!!

very courteous staff.... but i had an ev and they had very poor instructions how to recharge--or use. and even had an address for an office that no longer existed--i drove there and found it out....

Hertz intentionally overbooked the Hartford location by 30 cars and denied our reservation. They didn't offer any assistance in finding an alternative vehicle and were initially reluctant about even granting a refund. We needed to get three hours north of Hartford that day and it was a completely preventable struggle. We can't see ourselves using them again.
