Their pick-up and drop-off locations were almost impossible to find. They run a paperless system which, if you're not travelling with a smart-phone, is very unsettling.

Best value that we could find for renting a vehicle in Ireland. We ended up arriving 12hrs late but they still had a car waiting for us. No fuss declining the CDW with a confirmation of coverage letter from our credit card company (other firms we rented with in the past have tried to scare us into using their insurance). They did initially give us a vehicle that had the 'check engine' light on all the time, so we turned around shortly after leaving the rental compound and brought it back. Told us at first just to ignore it, but then agreed to swap it for an identical vehicle (Fiat Panda). Drove it for five weeks and no problems when dropping it off and shuttle to/from the airport was available promptly.

The rental was fine. My only negative was the car insurance they surprise on you at pick up. It was almost the price of the entire rental and we did not expect that at all. Much too big of a surprise and should be available to book online to avoid the last minute, very large fee!

Pick up from the airport took ages and getting a vehicle once we got to the depot also took a long time. We booked a small car and I got a 7 seat van which was fine for me but had one mirror held on with tape.

I know car rental companies make most of their profit from selling insurance but easirent’s insurance more than doubled the cost of the rental. Seemed excessive. Also the pick up was slow. Other than that the car and staff were fine.

The car was good, the staff efficient. My big problem was that there was no insurance within the reservation and at the rental desk I had to pay 400 euros more (for just the car to insure, not the passengers, and for a higher price than usual). It was a very bad surprise as during the reservation online it was not clearly said that the reservation was without the insurance. I insure my personal car for less than 200 euros per year, how can an insurance for 6 days costs 400 euros with a 2000 euros franchise? I advice everybody to double check the insurance condition during the reservation!

I booked on your site for a 77 year old man and when we arrived, they refused to rent us a car. Luckily I myself had my driving license even though I didn't want to drive in Ireland. they also insisted we had to take their insurance as we couldn't opt out even though we were insured through our visa card.... Amazingly inefficient service on your part and not much better at Budget!

Very kind staff. Fast pick up and Return of the rental-car. The explanation where the shuttle picks up the people could be also send by mail with a map since there are two Stops at Terminal 1/2. We hope the rental-cars will be one day affordable for all people again ..it got really expansive the last years.( esp. during Corona. Thank you so much for Everything.

I have rented a car and prepaid all taxes and service fees before travelling to Ireland with a fully paid and non refundable reservation number from Kayak. My husband was the driver of this vehicle and presented to the airport for pick up on August 19, 2023. He travels extensively for work and has a credit card that covers Collision Damages Waiver and Theft Protection. He explained this clearly to the agent Michael, who insisted that he would be required and it was MANDATORY (the words exactly used) to purchase these. He upsold him the Supercover insurance and told my husband that this is mandatory. I examined the contract when he returned and told me the nature of this conversation. Having lived and studied in Ireland myself for 5 years, I did my due diligence and inquired from other car rental agencies and examined the legislation within Ireland to determine the validity of these claims. My clear understanding is that Third Party Liability insurance is a legal requirement in the prepaid price of all car rentals in Ireland, protecting from property damage, injury and death. Fire insurance is also included in this prepaid price. If the CDW and TP is declined or that written proof is required and the customer declines this, a credit card authorization of a larger amount can be applied to the rental. These options were not presented and in fact, miscommunicated at the time of rental by your agent Michael. This should be investigated and the insurance reimbursed, or at the very least the supercollision insurance that was in fact, not required.

The car was great, no complaints there. However, pickup was not at the airport as listed, and we needed to take a shuttle bus to another location to get the vehicle - not a big deal but not as advertised. Furthermore, when attempting to return the vehicle we found a sign saying the return location was yet somewhere else! And from there we'd have to walk (not that far) to the terminal. Again, not a huge deal but very inconvenient for scheduling departure and arrival plans. And having 2nd party insurance was much cheaper than accepting the Hertz insurance that was pushed. Overall good experience, in the end.

The pick up at the airport was good, no issues. On the drop off the attendant "claimed" that the back passenger door was dented during our rental. However, we looked at photos taken when we picked up the car and the dent was already there. On pickup there was no prior damage report supplied. If we hadn't taken the full comprehensive insurance package, I am sure we would have been on the hook for the damage. I find this disturbing and felt accused of the damage when in fact I wasn't. Fortunately, no out of pocket expense for us but still concerning nonetheless. Otherwise, the car was perfect and everything else was good.

Very poor communication and I think we got scammed. They charged us $61 per day for insurance and said it was mandatory. Everyone else we talked to paid anywhere from $17-$30 per day for insurance. When we asked if there was any cheaper insurance option they said this was the only one and absolutely required otherwise we could not take the car and we had already paid for it in full. There was no information anywhere before or during of insurance requirements or costs.

They did not accept a letter from my credit card company for CDL insurance because it did not say Ireland on the letter. The letter said I was covered "Worldwide" but they would not accept it, therefore, I had to pay an extra €350 for the rental car. What an absolute scam!!!

This location was an embarrassment to rental car facilities. It took over 1.5 hours (with small children) to pickup the vehicle. The staff was adamant about selling their insurance coverage, which I did not need since my VISA card covers rental car insurance (fully). In advance of picking-up the vehicle, I followed all instructions and had letters issued from my credit card company and the insurer. The counter staff refused to accept the paperwork, since it said that the full insurance was valid WORLDWIDE. They literally indicated that it had to say 'Ireland', and that worldwide wasn't acceptable (!?). It took me 60mins on hold with my insurer (long distance, roaming) to get the letter updated. The insurer (a worldwide, large insurance company) indicated they had never heard of this requirement before. The counter staff was intent on charging me over 800eur for insurance, which is extortionate and ridiculous. Avoid this location at all costs - definitely something wrong with management/ownership (this is not a corporate Europcar facility, but rather a franchise location).

The overall rental experience was poor. Renting/reserving through your site was confusing and I was not able or couldn't figure out how to add insurance and a GPS Nav system through your site. Thus, the upcharge at the counter was significantly higher. No one was at the Payless counter in the terminal so a sign referred you to get service at the Avis counter. There was no Payless representation in the actual lot either, so again you're dealing with a person working the Avis counter. That's where I was getting upcharged like crazy when getting into a car, to the tune of around $100/day for the cheapest smallest size car. It does get better, good and bad. The piece of s**t car they put me into had 78K miles, the key fob didn't work and to top it off, there was a tire, not a spare (tire on a rim), but just a tire with a hole in the sidewall, stuffed into the little trunk. The good news, when I went back to the rental center on the lot to point this out so that I wouldn't get charged, a service guy in the lot asked what was going on. I explained and he got very upset that I was receiving poor and dangerous (if I had gotten a flat out on the road) service. He asked what insurance I had selected, when I told him I was paying full but through Avis (approx $60 euro/day), he said he'd get me in a better car. This guy walked in, grabbed another set of keys and sent me on my way. The on-the-side upgrade put me in a Toyota Yaris Hybrid with low miles, like 5K, the car performed just fine. So, in the end I was happy with what I was driving however it my daily rate with insurance was around $100euro/day. I ended up returning it a few days sooner than initially planned. Taking advantage of tourists with upcharges didn't seem exclusive to the car rentals; Ryan Air and some hotels along the way used the same practices. Specific to renting through your site, I was not pleased.

The only thing good about it was the convenience within the airport. The person at the rental desk tried to sell me on a package that would have caused over a thousand dollars for eight days. I have booked another reservation with Easirent but didn't realize it at the time because I was a bit delirious from the flight I ended up going with Easirent because the price was about 50% less with full insurance. The only thing about that choice is you have to take a shuttle to the location of the car and it's not that easy to find the pickup point otherwise they did an incredible job
