The gentleman was very pleasant. The car hadn't been cleaned properly or washed but we agreed it was ok. There was no parcel shelf in the car which was a bit of a concern when we had luggage etc.

Cleaner car, with working Fob and courtesy pick up and drop off would have been nice. Maybe bin Corsa's as they are not very comfortable for long drives.

The place was little bit strange - like old scrapyard, only with nice new cars. The office was in a construction cell. But everything worked, was very easy and the staff was very nice. Good and quick communication with the staff. Only be carefull - when you book the car through the kayak US page, the price will be without the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). You will have to pay it at the counter or have your own printed intrnational insurance covering rent car damage - so you won't have that nice price as you find on kayak, even you book en english car in the UK (which is strange and there is no warning about that).

When I tried to pick up they demanded that I take their collision damage insurance, even though I had waived that and said that I had it through American Express, AND wanted a £1500 deposit. I offered to purchase another online insurance policy and he said the company would not accept that. The fellow at the counter was very nice but he said it was the company policy and he had no control over it. He said it happened all the time and people were always shocked. I then asked what other renters would do and he said most people just paid it because they didn’t have another option. I refused and had him take me back to the airport. Then I went and rented a car elsewhere. More people need to walk away and not let this and other companies like this run this kind of SCAM. Kayak needs to drop them from their search.
