I liked the SixT. I reserved a car here in San Francisco for a pick up from Paris. When I arrived rental place, the agent was very friendly, he tried to find me an automatic car for my need. I enjoyed driving the car for 10 days. I would like to rent a car from them again in the future.

The pickup in Paris was rough. There was no pre-inspection done so I had to take video and send to Sixt but they never confirmed receipt of the video. The attendant was overwhelmed and I had to go to a parking garage 2 blocks away and navigate my way to the car, get it out, come and pick up my family on a very busy street, all with little detailed instructions. The attendant was not there when I came to pickup my family who were waiting at the Sixt kiosk on the busy street...it was a fiasco. After that though the car was great and our 30 days with it through Europe was a blast. The drop off at FCO in Rome went well, as far as I know.

Rented car no problem through Kayak and CarRentals.com. Arrived in Paris from the U.S. only to be told there were no cars. Then we were told they had cars but no more automatic transmissions (which is what we reserved). After being persistent, we were finally told that there was one automatic on the premises but it was a small hatchback not medium sedan as reserved, so we took it. Also, we checked ahead of time to see if our current auto insurance covered our rental in France plus, purchased additional rental car insurance from Allianz to insure that we were covered in France, but was told at the Europcar desk none of that would cover our car if something should happen to the car. In the end, the car worked out fine and we were very happy with it, but we could have done without the stress of being told we had no transportation for our 12 day road trip in France!

I prepaid through Kayak. I got to the Hertz office a couple of hours after the designated pick up time, but figured it was not an issue since I prepaid for the entire reservation. I have had the same situation in the US and in Canada, so why should this be different? But it was. The agent told me that my reservation had been cancelled because I was over an hour past the start of the reservation, and that there were no more cars available. When I pushed back and said that the 'policy' which she was relaying was nowhere in my rental agreement with Kayak nor in any other experience that I had previously with Hertz, suddenly two cars were available, but both at a markup over what I already paid. I needed a car, so I paid it. I will follow up with Hertz as well to let them know of this issue. Buyer beware - Hertz in Paris (at least the 99 Rue Rivoli location) is shady!

Very slow process in picking car up. Our agent was very helpful but it didn't look as though the other two agents were doing much of anything. Return was very hard to find - have to go inside to return the keys (at least in the Term 2 A-B-C-D lot) - and, again, very slow. But at least there were no unexpected charges

We rented a car with Hertz from Paris CDG. Firstly they gave us an electric car when we had reserved a non-electric. No way to change it on site. I tried to reach customer service but they told me I had to call Paris CDG directly. Problem is that they do not ever pick up the phone. I had to drive back to the agency to sort it out. Afterwards I had to change my drop-off location. Again - impossible to do this over the phone. I had to once again call the CDG agency who never picks up the phone. Yet again I had to drive to the CDG agency a 2nd time! 0/10 on customer service. Hertz never again.

Upon return all that is required is to drop off the key /controller. A clear sign saying this would be helpful to prevent us waiting in a line with everyone else only to find out at the end just to leave your key on the counter is required and the rest is done by email-- no further discussions necessary..

They did not let me rent the car. Despite I had a credit card, my dirver licence and my pasport were valid. The image of kayak was not correct at all with the car, the kayak image was 3m interior space for the transporter, the actual was just 1.4m

Was not made clear that a boarding pass from the past 24 hours was required for this rental nor was a reason why this was required. Therefore not able to rent the car and left in a panic to find another agency and car to rent. Very disappointing.

We had a reservation. When we showered up at 9am they weren’t open yet. We called Enterprise and they told us they weren’t opening because they ran out of cars. Then when I asked what we should do, the woman hung up on me. So we were stranded in a foreign country.

The pick up was easy. The staff was super friendly. We rented a 9 passenger van that was clean and easy to drive. Drop off was a pain, there was a spot that had a bar that was too low for our van to fit under. Luckily a worker was driving by and stopped to help us by moving the bar out of the way. Overall I enjoyed the rental but they should know the heights of their garage!

I was told the rental car was a standard 6 speed transmission. I agreed to this. I had been many year (50) since I drove this type of transmission. It took some time to get used to it but I managed. looked the drop off process at the Munich airport but I havn"t yet seen the final bill. I did see an unexpected charge for $160 that I wasn't expecting. I fill the tank at the airport so the car actualy had more gas when i returned it than when i picked it up. I did get a parking ticket and am expecting to pay that, but i would have guessed it would take longer to show up.
