The agent at the Alamo desk in Palm Springs was most helpful and efficient. The car was super-clean.

Iwould have liked to have the model size i choose but instead of compact i got a full size.

I got call from Alamo 1 hour before pick up the car and they told me that car is not available!!!!

The staff could be a little more pleasant. It’s not that they were rude, but they certainly weren’t going out of their way to be friendly.

Great counter service. Pricey for a one way one day rental

Hertz was great, my review is more about making a booking through Kayak instead of with Hertz directly: Making a booking with Kayak means you have no flexibility to make adjustments - so make sure you book exactly what you will need. You lock in a rate and dates, and then there is no way to adjust your booking. You can’t add or remove days, you can’t switch your drop off location. Hertz has no ability to make adjustments to your booking because it was made through Kayak at a guaranteed rate - and Kayak also can’t adjust your booking because you are technically booked with Hertz. We had extremely kind and helpful service staff with Hertz who couldn’t do anything to adjust the booking. I booked for six days and later wanted to add a seventh, they couldn’t do it even though the “weekly rate” would have technically covered the seventh day and no more money would have been exchanged. I even offered to pay for the extra day, and Hertz couldn’t do it - they literally cannot change any numbers in their system once the booking is made. I would book through Kayak again, it was easy to use and the rental price was a good deal, but I will be more careful and only book if I am 100% confident on the dates I need.

Very bad customer service when I called for drop off I was sent to two different locations

Siri cannot find pickup location, which was a big problem.

Car requested was honoured. Price quoted was correct. We could only rent for one month and for the final 4 days after that we had to go back to the airport to renew our car rental agreement. Staff were excellent.

We had to wait nearly 3 hours in line at the airport to pick up our car! It was miserable.

Good deal, car was great! However. We waited in line almost 2 hours to pick up our reserved car when we arrived in Palm Springs. Only one staff working at the Budget desk, staff person was incredibly composed considering the pressure of the situation.

Waited in line for over an hour. 20 ppl in front of me and probably 75 behind me. Gave up and booked Avis for the same money and the next counter over. Walked away with my keys while my spot in line was still 10 ppl from the front. Tried to cancel the reservation twice phone rang out the first time and was hung up on the second time. Last time I ever book budget

The car was barely a step up from a golf cart. I can't believe they are renting it. Makes me rethink renting from Avis again.

Car needed cleaning on outside

Location was not open at 3pm when I arrived. I had to pay for Uber multiple times instead, causing unexpected cost.

They rented a 5 year old SUV. The vehicle broke down. I needed to spend half a day waiting for tow, tow driver trying to fix car, going with vehicle back to airport, waiting in line for a new car and driving back to our hotel over 30 minutes away. When I got back to airport, they would not reimburse for Uber ride to appointment or comp the car. Stay away from this rental company or expect a rough ride.

The only thing was the massive pick up line - not much to do about it except have patience.

We rent multiple times a year at Palm Springs Airport. We have used all the various rental companies. This rental from Dollar provided the best price for an amazing SUV. Very good experience. Rental prices have skyrocketed at all companies from previous years. Dollar had the best rates this trip and a much superior vehicle.

Line up at the counter was long, but three attendants processed people quickly. Drop off was easy and done efficiently. I was told I would be emailed my receipt.

Poor service, 25 people on line to get their car and only 2 working, waited over and hour for the car

Car had no GPS, was higher mileage and somewhat tired. Rode well, good on fuel. Size worked out well.
