Confusing at first as it was serviced by the same people running hertz. We were waiting in the Dollar lane but no one would serve us or tell us we had to line up at hertz even through the front counter staff could clearly see us standing there. The first car we got was not great. The brakes needed to be serviced but we were lucky enough to be helped by the Springfield airport branch who gave us a new car (although it was a bit of a process- no fault of theirs)

A lot of silly fees. I would just like to know what it’s going to cost. I felt like I was reading a cell phone bill; there was six or seven lines of fees. I would appreciate an honest number much more. Otherwise the staff was great and the car was clean.

When I wanted to change the booking they snuck in charging for gas which wasn't the original deal.
Pick up and return were pretty simple. The car was missing at the spot they gave me, but they were able to assign me a different car right away, but then the QR code didn't update for my new car, even though I clicked on the link from the new text. They also gave me an SUV when I would have preferred the economy car I requested.

There was an issue with our reservation that was handled in an awkward manner; just could have been handled/explained better. Admittedly I did not realize the reservation was made for an off-site property, but I also was not told that was the issue until the problem was moved to another representative.

Car was in terrible condition (cracked windshield, smoky smell inside, scratches on exterior, interior was dusty and dirty), no walkthrough with the agent to determine pre-existing damage—he just handed me the keys to a beat-up car. Agent overstated gas available at pickup (full when it was only 3/4 full), and vastly underestimated mileage at pickup (by 800 miles!). Upon return, the agent eyed me suspiciously when I said the A is agent had t competed a walkthrough and the damage was pre-existing. I showed him pics I took in the lot before driving away to prove that the damage was already there, but now I’m worried Avis will send me a fraudulent bill.
The Altima rode smooth but getting in and out was too low I would have preferred a car that wasn't a low rider. Customer service was ok but when we were sent to find our car in the lot, there wasn't anyone to greet us to find our car and explain that we could pick any car in a certain area. We just didn't know how their system worked, so I had to go and find someone to help us and then she explained the process.

Clerk at the front desk mocked me for politely asking not to use their insurance or roadside. Employee outside mentioned it would be "easier" if I took another car in a different space than what was assigned to me. I asked him if I needed to switch or if it was his opinion that I pick a different model and he said go ahead and use that car. The address from the drop off was no where to be found on any documents. It was "St Louis Box Trucks" which also did not appear on Google maps. Had to call their customer service and wait to get an address. Terrible experience.

Quick and easy service from pickup to dropoff. Clean car without any operational issues.
The seats of the Nissan Altima were very comfortable since we had to sit in them for over 26 hours during a 35 hour period. We also were held up by traffic on our trip for many hours which meant our return time was going to be later than expected. Upon calling Alamo (Tiffany assisted me), it was taken care of quickly with no extra charge since it was still within the 2 day period for the rental. Lastly, the gas mileage was very good and better than what I was expecting for a large car.

My flight was delayed and I called and was informed that they would hold a car for me. Unfortunately when I arrived the rental car desk was closed. I had to spend over 100 dollars on Uber to take me too my hotel and then back to the airport the next day. Then when I finally go to pick up my car there are no cars available and there is line of people waiting in the cold to try and get rentals. This entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. ..
we spent all day going all over kansas city looking for a car that ended up being already rented. Was very frustrating and irritating. And in the end they made us feel like it was our fault. Never again will i try to rent from them.

Easy pick up and return, and especially friendly staff interactions during pick up.
Car was not ready when I arrived. They had to clean cars as they were rented and customers had to wait for rentals. Agent was very friendly and helpful, which was a plus. It was out of her control.

The guy at the desk seen me waiting and waiting in line I'm still waiting for him to look my way so I can go to the counter and when the guy seen what I was renting the mustang, them he tells me that my credit card isn't acceptable to rent one there cars. 5 years I have not ever been denied to rent with my credit card. Called emergency road side to assist. No one came and couldn’t get a hold of dispatch. Never received text confirming someone was coming after operator said to expect one. After 2 hours called highway patrol and they came to help. It was 10 degrees out. Made it home and never received anything from Budget. No text, no follow up, left for dead. I was promised an economy car in writing from Budget for $186.00 including taxes. When I arrived, I was given a choice of either a 15 passenger van, or a large pickup truck! When I complained, the very rude lady at the desk said that’s all they have, and wanted to charge me over $400 for 2 days. I finally took the pickup, but at 73 years old, I had a hard time getting in an out of this huge truck. Horrible experience and service! NEVER AGAIN will I use Budget! I want a refund!
declined all extra coverages, but attendant reinserted it anyway (avis counter on behalf of payless). Car was great, but untrustworthy counter people so beware.

I filled the tank 5 miles out from the airport until the needle was way past full. Hertz charged me a $20 fee to "top off the tank". Said I needed to send a gas station receipt if I wanted to contest it but all I have is a line item on a credit card statement.
