We attended the location an hour and a half after the booking time and did not have any ways to contact the rental company since we were in a foreign country (Chile). We attended the office and were told that our vehicle had already been rented and we were late as per their one hour « no show policy ». We could see our rental vehicle in the parking lot with numerous other cars. The employee stated that « someone else walked in within that 30 min windows after the hour allowed as per their policy and rented the exact same car and somehow had already signed all the contracts, made the inspection and left within that same 30 min period ». The employee was rude with us and then offered us to rent the exact same vehicle (our original rental) for $150/day which was more than twice what we rented it for through your app. It is low season in Chile and we walked by the next 2 days and our vehicle was still in the parking lot. It’s obvious that this company wanted us to rush into a decision and rent the vehicle at a really expensive price. I do appreciate the help of the booking company who helped us getting most of our money back, but I was really disappointed in that rental company and the service offered. I have travelled and booked cars numerous time with different rental company and this was the first time I had a bad experience and it was also my first time booking with This company. It was really frustrating to see an employee (I believe he was the manager) using the fact that we were tourists to try to overcharge us and being so unprofessional.
