I made a reservation for a car through kayak back in March at this location. When I went to pick it up at my scheduled date and time, they informed me that the over $500 I had already put down was nowhere to be found and that this happens frequently with kayak (who uses CarRentals.com). They just don’t forward your money to the vendor. They made me a reservation for a car, but did not forward my money to Thrifty. Additionally, I waited in line for more than an hour to find this out with no explanation about why the waits were so long. The staff were clearly stressed and overworked and I was not the only person having issues at the counter. Another person and their family stood at the counter for no less than 45 minutes. No one got away from that counter in less than 15 minutes and nobody was telling the Gold members they could leave the line and go get a car. A Gold member stood behind me in line and was not told he had special privileges until he was nearly at the counter, which made me upset for him! The places was incredibly disorganized and the staff was under trained and stressed. They were just trying to get through people and were not kind or good at explaining anyone’s issues. I would literally never rent from this location again even if my rental had gone off without a hitch when I got to the counter. Waiting more than an hour to unsuccessfully pick up my reservation was ridiculous, and the explanation I was given at the time made 0 sense and I had to piece it together with a friend after I was told to get OUT OF THE LINE and figure out my issue on my own. Just absolutely horrible. I might change or update this review if I ever get a refund of the money I paid in March for a car I was unable to pickup from this disorganized, overbooked location.
