Car Hire in the Turks and Caicos Islands

They did not show up, or answer their phones. When I did finally reach then the next day, they were rude and unhelpful. I will never use them again and will dissuade my friends and family from using them too. I think it devalues Kayak’s brand to be associated with them.

I have never had a better car rental experience ever and I have traveled all over the world renting cars. It started with a call the day before arrival to confirm the reservation and answer any questions. Upon arrival they were literally cheering my groups arrival at the desk in the airport. It was wonderful! We were escorted out of the airport directly to the car that they had waiting outside the airport. Never had that before. But the best part of the entire rental was on the last day when 30 minutes before departing for the airport I could not find the keys. I called the local office and Mary Ann Bagvio answered and told me not to worry they would come out to the house we were staying at and get us to the airport. As it turned out with the keys that they brought we were able to open the trunk and found the missing keys. The other lady who came with Mary Ann, Marraey who was just as sweet and helpful drove the car back to the airport for us and Mary Ann personally delivered us to the front door of the airport with ample time to catch our flight. Customer service doesn't get any better!! I will be a loyal Sixt customer forever!!

Was charged a cleaning fee of 150$usd, for some sand in the car, I mean it’s Turks and Caicos … some sand is expected!

Kayak directed us to a pick up location that no longer exists in Providenciales so Avis was scrambling to find us a car at another location. They came through tho! Kayak search location needs to be updated.

Easy shuttle from airport to the car pickup. Quick in and out, easy drop off. We’ve rented from them for years in providenciales and always a good experience.

What a cluster this was….car was a lemon, service was worse. They lied about gas gage despite my having pictures and video at pickup, then threatened me when I called them out on it. Check engine, tire warnings and past due oil change lights flashing at pickup , which took 90 minutes.

Staff was prompt and efficient. Friendly and courteous. Pickup and drop-off was easy. Car was in good condition

I reserved a Toyota Camry for $150/day which is crazy. The Camry I was given was a 2013, definitely not what I was expecting. The check in process is slow and very manual. Make sure you you take pictures/videos of the entire interior and exterior of the car. This office will closely inspect the vehicle upon return and charge you for any little scratch. The check out process is also very slow. The staff is nice.

I rented a car with bluetooh, there was none. I had no music for half of the time.

My flight was delayed and by the time it landed economy gave my care away. I am having trouble getting it refunded.

When we landed they said there weren’t any cars left. The only positive we had was the budget staff person called Quality to get us a car through them. Also, the car kept dying and we had to get a jump 3 times throughout the week.

Upon our arrival to our location for our anniversary trip, budget informed us that they had no cars for us. They told us to catch a cab to our vacation home and they would call us when was available and come pick us up. That call never came for the entirety of our 6 night stay. We were in a location where a rental car was not an option and Budget put us in a really bad position. We have used Budget before with no issues like this, but after being stranded I don’t know if we will again.

The car needed window wiper fluid and new windshield wipers. We could not see well out of the front window after it rained, due to the water deposits obscuring the view.

Pickup at the airport was chaotic. They gave us a car and as we were about to leave I asked for a copy of the contract. This triggered them to look in their system and they suddenly weren’t sure if they were giving us the right car or had our reservation. Totally bizarre. Even thought I had an email showing our reservation they had to recreate the entire reservation in the system which took a very long time. The car they gave us was a mess. Hubcaps held on by zip ties, engine sounded like it was going to die and the car would shake at normal speeds.
