The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the vehicle having a faulty tire on the way back to the Budget shop and had to deal with a flat. The roadside service representative informed us that the tire tread was too low, and that the tire tread was pulling away from the tire on the inside - and was highly likely in that poor condition when we first picked up the vehicle. As a result, I would suggest that Budget make closer safety inspections of their vehicles. This was an incredible imposition, and could have been an extremely dangerous outcome if we had not stopped when we had.

Like having a known company. Have rented from other companies where I had to go to some little office well off site. Hertz rental location was easy to find, clean and well staffed. I knew that I could return the car after office hours and find someone there to return the car to. Their choice of car options was also important. Finally they offered a generous mileage allowance - 700 miles for 7 days.

Big mistake to rent from this company! Got to heathrow airport at 22:00 to find out their shuttle bus stop service at 21:30 , no one picks up the phone and you get an email for the customer to check in to confirm eligibility to rent a car like you applying for a job in her majesty’s government !! The dumbest thing I ever heard ! So no car and they got paid

Liked the car but didn’t realize it came with only 100 miles/day. So I had to upgrade which doubled the price. Took over an hour to find the bus and get to their off airport site. Two hour waiting in a queue with just one person checking everyone in. Felt so bad for couple in front of me who were going to miss their cruise do to horrible delay. On return the bus only came once an hour to return to Terminal 5! Never renting from them again!

On pick up we found scrapes on the car that weren’t marked on the paperwork so got them to correct it. Agreement was for 100 miles per day this was changed to just 71 miles. Very disappointed. Checking the car back in was very quick and trouble free.

An hour's wait to collect (pre-booked) car from St. Pancras office. Single staff member was friendly but evidently overworked. Eventually a colleague arrived to help. Booked car was not available so an alternative was offered, different style - we booked a station wagon & received an small SUV, it was fine though. At the end of the rental we discovered we'd been driving around for 3 weeks with no spare wheel. Fortunately we didn't need it. Little bit disappointed with UK Sixt as we've had good service in Australia from them, but this level of service is seemingly normal for UK car hire companies.

Drop off was excellent. Pick up was the complete opposite. Long line with only one agent, car was not ready and needed cleaning, not easy when the weather is cold and wet and you have young kids. The car itself was small but fine and ran well.
