I booked thru Kayak. That was my mistake. Despite the confirmation email and the app saying my pick up location was CLE airport location. Kayak scheduled it for Beechwood location and I had to pay $717 instead of $333 as promised in the app. I’ll never book thru Kayak again.

They could try not scamming people for an extra 500 dollar upgrade when you get a smaller SUV. They could train their employees to be a little more knowledgeable and how to answer questions. They claim at the counter they don’t have access to see what type of vehicle you are getting, like not even whether it is in fact an SUV or a car; like come on! Also throwing these third party services under the bus stating it may be why all of that happened 🤨 between the staff and other customers, maybe get directions from YOUR PHONE’S GPS because no one has the time to wait longer than necessary for these things while you map out the rest of your day with the counter!! It was just a total nuisance and I’m sure people less outspoken just pay for whatever they throw at them!
The car was great that I ended up with! Comfortable and was a joy to drive.

The car was quite clean, but the fragrances of the cleansers they used were headache-inducing. I drove with the windows cracked and circulated fresh air for the first day. By Day 2 it was fine. Surely they could leave windows open after cleaning to let those odors air out?

Picked car up in Cleveland and dropped it in Toronto, Canada. I understand cross border drop offs may be a challenge but they had no idea what to do when we got to the drop off location so it took some extra time. That said, the Canadian agent was very nice and did his best to be quick and helpful.

plane encountered a delay, so I ended up landing after the enterprise location had closed. I made my way to the location the very next day, It had not even been 24 hours since my scheduled pickup and when I arrived the Manager of that location told me he just rented my rental to some one else just 20 minutes to me arriving. They had no other cars that fit my needs. this was a work trip and I needed a pickup. I ended up with budget after spending 3 hours of company time calling around to all the rental company locations in Cleveland untill I found one 30 minutes outside of the city and I had to Uber their. Not impressed with the service I received and my company will avoid them in the future

Ithe location would have been ok, yet the hours posted were incorrect, the vehicle was DIRTY, rep was rude & said we hsd to take it, other rep tried to clean it, we had to wait wasting time, no compensation for the time being earlier gor frop off or waiting, NOT at ALL the experience of any past rentals from other companies

Car start with problems in the border with Canada. I called roadside assistance. Start a claim, call get disconnected. I've to go all the way back to USA the closest location for a rental exchange. They said nothing was on file. I tried to call roadside again. No luck. I've to cameback to my city. For my good luck nothing else happened

I left a pair of sunglasses in the rental and after realizing it 15 minutes after drop off and returning to the Hertz drop off to retrieve my sunglasses, customer service was extremely terrible and that I had to wait 30 minutes only to be told that they could not retrieve my sunglasses as they were unable to locate them. Knowing with 100% certainty that they were in fact in the vehicle and given how the events unfolded after the fact, I will never book with hertz or dollar again. I am a frequent traveler, and I will not support these companies. I feel so bothered by this incident that I actually took the time to fill this out when generally, I never write anything as I’ve always had pleasant experiences with other rental agencies. This speaks volumes to me.
We were happy with the services except - 1. The car we were assigned to wasn't in its parking spot. Had to walk in & out of building several times. The car we eventually got was fine. 2. Thrifty apparently is owned by an Italian company. This fact WASN'T MENTIONED ANYWHERE UNTIL WE GOT CHARGED FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEES BY OUR CREDIT CARD ON OUR RENTAL!!!!

It took forever to rent the car. They needed more staff or just a faster process. Also, the car I was initially given wasn't in the space I was told so I needed to walk back in and have them find me another car. Also, I got a $465 bill when I was only expect $24 charge. I literally used the car for less than 6 hours!!! It was ridiculous and I'm still waiting for my credit card to be refunded. Great value but not work the stress and time I've spend getting my money back. Last rental with Thrifty

There was no one at the counter when we arrived and were told that they are hardly ever there. We did not know what to do there was no sign or instructions on the counter or in our email. The security guard said “try the hertz counter. “ we did and got a car after much concern It was the same on the way home and I hav e still not received my email receipt.
