Pros:Nothing. We arrived at 10:40 PM only to find out that they closed at 8:00 PM - something that we had not been told ahead of time. AND, WE PREPAID! What a ripoff! I doubt that I will ever use Kayak or SixT again. Had it not been for another helpful rental car company, we would have been stranded and missed the event that we flew in for.
Improve the price of the insurance because increase the final price The machine to the toll install in all cars , check the option no cover because now include 5 per day increase the price
I could not locate the rental company and was forced into an immediate rental from another company
The service in Philadelphia was pretty slow, and the drop off in Battery Park NYC was a bit confusing. For the return, the designated after-hours parking was full and overflow wasn't clearly designated. There was also not a lot of clarity regarding the paperwork to be returned with the keys in the drop off slot (I didn't know anything should be dropped until I saw a sign because no one told me in advance this would matter).
There was good and bad on the experience. The good - all the personnel were very pleasant to work with. We especially were impressed by the lady running the shuttle on the day we came into Philadelphia. She was very personable and engaging. The bad - the car we rented was in terrible condition. There were so many dents/dings/paint scratches, etc that it was hard to figure out if they were all listed when we rented the car. We noticed a huge crack in the windshield did not look like it had been marked and the attendant told us it was "in there". As we returned the car to the Newark location, they said it was not. We took pictures on the day we rented it and shared those with the claims department, but they have not indicated that we are OK. Bottom line - I know times are difficult to get cars, but frankly, that particular car should not even be offered on a rental lot. I felt like we rented from "Rent a Jalopy".
