This was the most horrible experience I have ever had. I ended up canceling my reservation and just renting through the other company. The total price was triple of the original amount. The had tons of hidden fees which is insane. From the original cost of 23€ per day it came all the way to 78€ per day plus gas. In addition they said that we also would have to pay 600€ deposit and that the insurance deductible is 5000€. My advice is to avoid those frauds and book through any other car rental agency like: Herts, Enterprise, Sixt, etc.

Added fees you don’t get told about before pick up. I was commanded to rush in and pick up the car at the exact time I booked it from. I should be able to choose myself how I spend the hours between pick up time and drop off. If I book a car from 11am and decide to pick it up at 12am that should be my choice. They want a 600 euro credit card deposit which I was told could take up to three weeks to get refunded. There was no information about this either. That was where I drew the line.
Thrifty did not have a car for us when we got to the desk to collect it. Moreoever, they could not offer a car later that day or even the next day. After ten minutes another couple came in complaining about the same issue. After some prodding the agent admitted they had overbooked themselves by four cars on the same day - so they had no cars to give us. To make matters worse there were no other cars available other than two at four times the price we had booked which we could not afford. Our car was central to our trip in the countryside and we ended up having to cancel all our accommodation and it ruined our trip and cost us a lot of money. DO NOT book with Thrifty or Hertz in Vilnius! They are run by the same company and are liable to disappoint you.
