The check-in process was good. The car pick-up was good. The car drop-off was good., The people were all good. That’s the good stuff. The negatives are that there was no windshield wiper fluid in the reservoir, and the tires on the car didn’t come close to meeting my expectations. We were driving in winter conditions and I didn’t feel safe . I grew up in northern New England so I have driven in snow for 50 years. The cars around me were faring much better than I did to the point that we canceled part of our planned driving trip for safety reasons. We spent a lot of money for the rental and didn’t come close to getting the value we expected for the money, and that negatively impacted our trip. Big bummer!!
They did not have any cars in the lot when i arrived and failed to notify me beforehand.
Cons:THERE WERE NO CARS EVEN THOUGH I HAD A RESERVATION!
I rented with Budget and they said "a car had been reserved for me", but when I arrived, there were no cars available. I waited hours and ultimately had to figure something else out. The worst part is, they didn't tell me no cars were available. The clerk at the counter said a car was there, but they needed to clean it and it would be read in ~15 minutes. This was clearly a lie. After 4 hours of being told it still needed 15 min of cleaning, I realized they were lying to me and there actually was no car on the lot. I AM NEVER USING BUDGET AGAIN.
