Wanting to save a few bucks on a car rental, we went with Fox. There are several reasons we would caution other travelers from renting from Fox. While we like to support local businesses, this one would benefit from improving on attention to detail, customer service and integrity of business practices. We arranged the reservation around our flight arrival. The pick up by their shuttle van was outside the national car rental location and not easily identifiable. The van used for transporting customers to their off (airport) site was in poor condition. Once we arrived, we were told the car we reserved was given to another customer because we were later than the pick up time we specified on our reservation BUT we could have an upgrade for $40 per day. Our reservation was for 12 and we arrived at 1:15. No compensation was offered other than the prior mentioned upgrade. After some discussion and asking to speak to a manager, my husband pushed back and we were given a Dodge minivan as a substitute for the Toyota Camry we had reserved. The car was sufficient but not particularly clean, and the engine made a knocking noise...not exactly confidence boosting when traveling the mountains of Wyoming. Returning the car was easy and efficient, but we had to wait upwards of 20 minutes for what appeared to be the only shuttle running customers to the airport for outgoing flights. If these things are not of a concern to you, then perhaps you will find Fox adequate for your needs. What we found unacceptable was the professionalism, integrity, efficiency, and convenience of renting a car at the airport from an established national business.
