I took an Uber to pick up my car after having to tow my car to a dealership to get two tires replaced. I was out of town and had run over a curb. When I got to Hertz I was told that they had no cars and that Kayak is permitted to sell rentals when the store does not actually have any.
The location closed an hour earlier (2pm) than posted on their website (3pm). Corporate customer service was not willing to match the agreed reservation price for another vehicle. Furthermore the Custer service agent said he did not have a supervisor that I could speak with.
The staff at the Clinton Mississippi location were so professional and very helpful and I am so thankful for such high level of professionalism and I felt secure and safe traveling through storms in Missouri and making it back safely to Mississippi and if I had the power I would recommend a raise to the team that helped me and I will tell all my lawyer friends to book with Enterprise at this very location
It was almost impossible to find the car in the lot and very little help was available. Someone should have told me that I was looking for HERTZ (am I renting from Hertz or Dollar?) stall 50 (there were multiple 50s) and given me a map of the lot. I spent 15 minutes searching, hauling bags in 95 degree weather. Customer service and system design get very low marks.

They were ZERO rentals available. I booked my reservation Feb 2nd and received NO NOTICE from Dollar about not having a RESERVED car. The reason: A recent tornado caused the shortage of vehicles because the insurance company's needed vehicles for those whose lost theirs, which is fine, BUT Dollar refused to inform anyone about this. Well, Dollar did inform you, when you got to the counter to pick you rental up. The associate said, "My supervisor was supposed to email you yesterday".... WTF, the tornado was several weeks ago AND I booked 3 months ago.. I guess the shining spot is: this "supervisor" is working and not taking tax money being Unemployed

Excellent staff, I reserved a full sized car and was given a 2door subcompact car. The clerk worked diligently to find a vehicle. The car we wound up with had a dirty wind shield and the wiper fluid was empty on delivery. I want to emphasize that the personnel were great, the system mediocre .

No one was at the counter when I arrived. Several of us waited for close to hour. Finally someone at Hertz was able to help. After speaking to some others in the lots it appears no one is usually at Dollar or Thrity. I’d stick with Hertz, Avis, Budget or Enterprise or at least I know I am going forward. Shouldn’t take an hour to get settled with a rental after traveling and the airport is onsite. They need to be more organized and have more staff available.
